Bookmaker Real Madrid – Loss opens title race!

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti, whose side are 5/6 with Bookmaker to be crowned champions, says the La Liga title race is wide open after a 4-3 El Clasico defeat by Barcelona. Real dropped to second in the table following their defeat in the Bernabeu, with Atletico Madrid top of the standings on head-to-head record, while Barca are now just a point back in third place. And with nine games to play, Ancelotti is preparing for a dramatic run-in, which sees Barcelona host Atletico on the final day of the season. The Italian said: “The league race is still open. I’ve said it many times – the league will be decided in the last match.” Meanwhile, Barca head coach Gerardo Martino was delighted to see his side reignite their hopes of beating the Madrid clubs to the Spanish title. He added: “La Liga is not over. We were given up for dead, but with this result we are right back in it. This was our last chance.”
